Offline for 5 hours, Yikes!

December 3, 2007 11:52 pm View Comments

I just spent 5 hours of my primetime online time, offline. That sucks. The good thing is that I finally decided that I should upgrade ADSL from 1.5mb to 6mb… As I didn’t expect a big change, but I have noticed some. Yippee… Now I am behind.

ps. the 5 hours offline wasn’t even related to the upgrade, it was an actual outage of the AT&T Network in the Southeast. Go Figure… What luck.

  • I had a similar issue junior882. I ended up calling AT%T and EVENTUALLY they conferenced a call with Palm. The Palm rep was terrific and within seconds had generated a NEW serial number, had me check it and I was able to download it.

So I have it, am off to Maine so I'll have to wait until this evening to see if it all works.

Special thanks to Palm support for being so FAST in resolving the issue!
  • Chris,

I'm an avid reader of Mobility site and have been waiting to read a post from you that the Treo 750 update was released. Sure enough I see that it was released tonight. Unfortunately, for some reason it's not recognizing my serial #, so I can't download it. If you don't mind helping a guy out, would you mind dropping me a line at junior882 at hotmail.com? It would be appreciated.

I upgraded my network, no more phone line!

I am finally in the “N”. This weekend, I decided to cut the cord on my Directv HD DVR. No, I didn’t quit Directv, I cut the phone line off. I found that I could eliminate the need to have a line connected if I were to network my receiver to net. In order to do this with the particular...

Where have I been spending my online time?

Since I have not been very active in places you’d normally find me like Mobilitysite and YouTube, I figured I would share with any readers I might still have where I can be found when online. As far as keeping my finger on the pulse of the mobile world, I still get 100s of emails with press releases...

Ok, I Need some College Info and Tips

My daugher, Brittney, is starting her senior year of high school soon. She has made it this far with all A’s and 1 B. She took the ACT earlier this summer and scored a 26. She has a 2nd test scheduled and since we’re in the south, I don’t think she needs to take the SAT. At least I...

Engadget tipsters sent in this yummy photo: It’s nothing much, but it does show Windows Phone 7 running on a mystery HTC Device. Also noted by the tipster is lack of the custom HTC UI, Sense. In other Windows Phone 7 news, HP doesn’t appear to be interested in doing Windows Phone 7. They...
